Francisco Mendes Moreira works with repurposed materials and different techniques, mostly oil paint, oil pastels, wood, collage, and paper maché.
He depicts through vivid colors, textures, and a unique imagery his vision of the world and how he navigates within it. Influences like western movies have shaped the way the artist perceives and reckons with life’s junctions. Whether figurative or abstract patterns, his works allow the viewer to embark on an adventurous journey, exploring the human condition and immersing oneself in a pictorial cosmos.
Previously he has shown with galleries such as KANT in Denmark, PUBLIC and DELPHIAN in London, SADE in Los Angeles or a duo show with JORDY KERWICK at Galerie 42b in Paris.
