Artists:
André Wendland
André Wendlands artistic practice experienced a significant change in style by 2020, but his interest in brushes and colors has remained constant. The German artist, born 1995, has always been a big fan of cartoons. Wit and humor are omnipresent in his work, although he is not always concerned with narrative representation. Together with his artistic growth also the scale of the canvases have grown. In order to create the composition wanted of his works, he helps himself with the iPad by making sketches. Wendland hardly worries about what could go wrong, instead he embraces the fluidity of the process and chooses his colors quite spontaneously. His art has been shown several times in Germany in cities like Karlsruhe and Berlin, but also in France and Italy.
