Exhibited in the Litz art space. In residence at Hotel Ruth, Stockholm. October 13, 2021 - January 3, 2022
Enwraps the viewer in a world of colours, textures and shapes, where one can be intimate with the art. Contrary to the aesthetics of the “white cube,” within this exhibition, one is forced to interact with the art up close and personal. By creating a familiar atmosphere, the perception of art reaches a new level of depth.
Being able to appreciate art in an intimate setting, where one eats, sleeps, rests and bathes; admiring the décor of the lush and opulent yet cozy premises of the hotel, one wonders if the perception of art can change; if we can perhaps reach a more profound, more personal level of perception. The art becomes part of the environment, becomes one with the surroundings and creates a new, immersive experience.
The pictorial program of the displayed artists, each with their distinctive style, allows us to submerge ourselves in a unique experience in which each painting tells its own story and simultaneously is in conversation with the other. Whether figurative or abstract art; portraits or still lifes, all these imageries captivate the viewer with their essence, making them travel through different states of consciousness and unconsciousness by creating a “safe space” in which they can feel vulnerable, sensitized and stimulated by their artistic surrounding.
