Leonie Gemsjäger (born 1999 in Ingolstadt, Germany) is a Leipzig-based artist whose work explores the liminal space between memory and reality. Her practice often features animals as silent witnesses to psychological states, suspended between the familiar and the uncanny. Gemsjäger’s artistic development began at the Holzbildhauerschule München in 2019 and has continued since 2021 at the Academy of Fine Arts (HGB) Leipzig, where she studies in the class of Ivana de Vivanco.
